Emerald Bay Custom Houseboats has been in operation since 1994. The business began as a remodeling facility for houseboats that was dedicated to creating completely custom work; giving each customer a unique experience and a quality product. At the end of the summer of 1997 the company built its first new houseboat called the Emerald City. The Emerald City was 72 feet by 20 feet with two stories of cabin space and a third story sun deck with a fly-bridge. The Emerald City was an instant success with its beauty and size; soon becoming the envy of other houseboat owners on lake Oroville. Since then we have been continuing to grow a well balanced business with success in new conceptions along side great remodeling practices. In fact, we have grown so much we had to switch facilities from a 40,000 square foot facility to a spectacular 120,000 square foot facility in beautiful Oroville, California; just north of Sacramento.

Emerald Bay Custom Houseboats has made a business out of creating and remodeling houseboats that require little to no maintenance. We do this with extensive knowledge of how houseboats are used; then we build and fabricate with the highest quality materials and products on the market. Emerald Bay Custom Houseboats has built houseboats for customers all along the west coast. All of these houseboats have unique needs and amenities to suite each customers individual character and preference. Emerald Bay Custom Houseboats specializes in working with and around the different requirements of the different lakes and counties regulating the houseboat industry. Customers can turn dreams into reality when designing there new custom houseboat or remodeling an existing one. A recent houseboat was finished for a customer in lake Oroville that was 92 feet by 22 feet with 5,870 square feet. It boasts four stories, a custom water slide from the top deck, a hot tub, granite floors and hardwood walls and ceilings. There is truly no end to our talent and creativity that is used to create our one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
